These are low-quality MP3s, the mic sounds even better in 24 bit or analogue.
The mandolin clip is by James Lowton using an NR47 with Telefunken tube. Recorded flat, no EQ.
The NR47 vocal clip was recorded by Blues/Rock singer Dave Harris. Again, no eq. Preamp was an LA610.
The Gibson P45 6 string was a big, bassy and boomy, hard to control acoustic, recorded with one NR47 microphone, double-tracked and panned left and right. The mic handled it very well. Many people say the NR47 is the best mic they have ever heard on acoustic guitars...and we agree.
"Wasting my time" is from Finnish RnB groovers "Moodz". They used a classic Retro MKI on vocals, accordion and gtr ambience. Nice work guys.
The harmonica clip is recorded with an NR47 by Corrado Di'anno at Yellow Fish Studios, no EQ.
The Toyota ad was sent in by international voice-over artist and Retro MKI owner, Fabian Toro. He's in Ecuador at www.torovoiceover.com
" B the same " is from the very talented Elliot Macauley who bought a Retro MKI and used it on this on his vocal and spanish style guitar. He also asked us to master the track so of course...we did... Check him out at : http://www.myspace.com/outfit.macauley
"Amerikka" came in from Finnish powerpoppers, Pexit. They used a Retro MKI on vocals, guitar and drum ambience and their comments are on the Feedback page. They were so pleased with the mic they bought another one. Finland is now in stereo !! Find them here: http://indiestore.7digital.com/pexit/
"Is It Wrong" is by British maestros of ambient-chillout, The Sound Mirrors, the vocal and the Hammond organ ( Korg Triton Extreme through a Leslie 145 ) were recorded with Newmann Retro MKI's, flat, no eq, the vocal through a Universal Audio LA-610 just for a touch of compression. The singer loved the sound dry but asked for a touch of bright reverb (Lexicon mpx-200) and was delighted.
